Brew House Controls
We offer several levels of automation for the brewing systems.
We have an advanced system that is a PLC / touchscreen based system and a more basic system with individual controls.
Our panels are UL (for the US) and cUL (for Canada) listed as an assembly. Each panel has its own unique UL listing number assigned to it. This number is typically required by your electric inspector in order to obtain a certificate of occupancy.

Advanced Controls
The advanced PLC / Touch screen based system offers many features designed for consistence and simplicity. The software is the result of building our system for over 14+ years while listening to our customer's feedback.
- Temperature control & trending data
- Hot liquor tank timer (have your strike water ready when you arrive at the brewery)
- Pump control
- Rake control (for larger systems)
- Herms / RIMS / or steam jacket mash tun control
- Sparge control via variable speed peristaltic pumps or via an automated grant level control
- Kettle power control (0-100% for both electric and steam)
- Remote access (ideal for monitoring a brew session or changing cellar tank temperatures)
- Recipe process parameter storage and uploading
Basic Controls
The basic controls package is ideal for brewers who are looking to have a more hands on approach. With full temperature and pump control the basic system will take care of the key brewing processes.

Custom Controls
Our panel shop at Brewmation builds world class electrical control panels. We are a UL (for US) and cUL (for Canada) approved panel shop building to UL508 standards. This is typically required by electrical inspectors.
Our brewery panel designs have evolved over the years to incorporate the features and functionality that makes sense to the end user. We are continually developing new solutions for the brewing industry and are ready to take on your custom control panel design.
Examples
- Control Panel Upgrades: Retrofit any existing brew house with a new control panel improve the automation and functionality.
- Cellar Controls Upgrades: Augment your cellar with glycol control valves and/or motorized valves to maintain rock-solid fermentation and serving vessel temperatures, or add remote access capability via a network connection (smart phone remote computer, etc.)
- Glycol System Monitoring: Monitor your glycol reservoir temperature, and receive and alert you via an e-mail if the temperatures rise above an alarm level.
- Fermentation Monitoring: Track the fermentation process through Brewmation's Cellar Logic system, letting you know when the fermenting has begun, when it has peaked, and when it is completed. Never chase down a runaway fermentation again.
- Non-conformance panel replacement. It has become common that control systems are purchased from other suppliers that are not UL or cUL approved. As a result, an electrical inspector will not pass the inspection and will withhold the building's certificate of occupancy. We can replace these panels with a cUL approved panel allowing you to obtain your C.O.
- Controls for wineries, or distilleries. We also build panels for specific functionality in the winery and distillery industry.
